What’s The Difference Between a Juicer and Blender?

You can eat raw foods all winter long with warm raw soups! Use the Vitamix to slowly warm your soups while blending. Try this healing Energy Soup recipe!

Energy Soup Recipe

Yield: 8-9 cups

2 cups green juice
2 cups filtered water
1 cup spinach
½ cucumber
½ red bell pepper
1 stalk celery
1 ½ cups sunflower sprouts
½ avocado
1 Tbs dulse flakes
1 clove garlic
1 tsp fresh ginger

Method: In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend well and season to taste.

Marinated Asparagus Recipe With Fennel And Pumpkin Seeds

This recipe makes a wonderful side dish for any raw meal. I like to pair this with the zucchini pasta and creamy red pepper sauce recipe for that real Italian feel.
Pumpkin seeds are fabulous for you – they have amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids, contain many B vitamins, as well as C, D, E and K. They also have wonderful minerals like calcium, potassium, phosphorous and niacin. Feel free to much on these all day long!

Raw Chili Recipe – The Works!

Here’s another great warming comfort food – Raw Chili. Enjoy this hearty chili on a chilly fall day!
Raw Chili – The Works!
2 cups blended tomatoes (3-4 tomatoes or 1-2 large tomatoes)
1/2 cucumber peeled
1/2 red bell pepper seeded
1/2 cup fresh basil
1/2 cup fresh cilantro
1/2 cup whole leaf dulse
3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup nama shoyu
1 1/2 Tbs chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp sea salt
Top with sprouts, avocados, scallions and jalapenos!
Method:
1. In a high-speed blender, combine all of the ingredients and blend until smooth Garnish with sprouts, avocados, scallions and jalapenos.
